Brenton Thwaites, born in 1989, in Cairns, Queensland, Australia, is an Australian actor.
Thwaites studied acting at the Queensland University of Technology and he graduated in 2011. He then relocated to Sydney to pursue his career in acting.
Prior to graduating from the Queensland University of Technology, Thwaites had his film debut in “Charge Over You”, a 2010 independent feature film. After he graduated, he went onto appear in an episode of Sea Patrol, and was cast portraying Luke Gallagher in the Fox8 teen drama series, “SLiDE’, and Stu Henderson in the soap opera “Home and Away”.
While he is famous mainly in Australia, that is changing that he has been cast as the male lead in the television remake of “The Blue Lagoon (2012)”.

Brenton is absolutely georgous and a great actor. I can’t wait to see him in more movies…..I’ve watched Blue Lagoon about 20 times. Just can’t get enough of watching him. WoW!!
Will look forward to more of him…..a natural, likeable, handsome star.
He seems fine for the part of Tobias in Divergent. I see nothing wrong with him.
After watching the Blue Lagoon, I was struck by what a very bad actor he is. How can anyone honestly claim otherwise? He was both unconvincing and unlikable. But just because he’s attractive and willing to be a body-whore for the camera, I guess we’ll have another pretty-faced bad actor crammed down our throats. How sad. Our culture is so in the toilet.
Thank u you have proved my point I mean directors and producers don’t think anymore just put a pretty face on the camera and think that they think we will like it.
He was good. Showed the right attitude and emotion for his character as the script developed. Great love story told without the complicated realities that would make it a documentary.
