Daniel Agger, born December 12, 1984, Hvidovre, Denmark, is a Danish footballer who plays as a defender for Liverpool and captains the Denmark national football team.

Agger started his senior career at Danish club Brøndby in July 2004, with whom he won the 2005 Danish Superliga championship.

Agger quickly established himself not only as a first team regular, but as one of the key components in the team. Despite his relative youth, he played with great authority and class.

His great achivements include being named Danish Football Player of the Year: 2007 and winning Football League Cup: 2012.

Agger is a tattoo artist and has numerous tattoos including a Viking on his upper right arm, a large drawing of Vikings and a graveyard that spans his whole bac.
