Hartley Sawyer, December 4, 1985, in New York, USA, is an American actor.

Growing up on a farm near New York’s Catskill Mountains, Sawyer discovered theater in high school. He had roles in such high school productions as “West Side Stor”y and “Crazy for You”. During his junior year, his parents sat him down and asked what he wanted to be. He told them he wanted to be an actor. They said OK. It was the coolest thing his parents ever did.

Although he wasn’t keen on going to college, after visiting his father’s alma mater — Emerson College in Boston — Hartley Sawyer was sold. He majored in theater and philosophy, and says he is proud to be a second generation graduate of the school.

Sawyer then moved Los Angeles in 2007, keeping busy while waiting for an acting job — working at various times as a personal trainer, at Starbucks and as a waiter.

In 2010, Sawyer auditioned for TBS’s comedy series, “Glory Daze”. It took 5 auditions before he landed the role.

Sawyer since appeared in a number of TV shows including “Jane by Design,” “Don’t Trust the B—- in Apartment 23,” and “GCB”.
