Danny Care or ‘Care Bear’, born January 2, 1987 in Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, is an English rugby union player who plays for “Harlequins” in the Aviva Premiership, primarily playing at scrum-half but he can also operate in the fly-half role.

Care started out his sporting career wanting to play football, but was told that at 5’8, he was just too short.

Care says it was his parents, who from an early age, encouraged him to do as many sports as possible and just go out and enjoy himself. They always pushed him to keep going and not give up.

In 2006, Care was part of the England Sevens squad that competed in the Commonwealth Games and was also a regular in the England Under 19 team throughout the Six Nations and World Championship. He then went on to represent England at Under 21 level in the 2006 World Championship.

Care is a full England international and has also represented England Sevens and England Saxons.
