Danny Cipriani, born November 2, 1987, in Roehampton, London, England, is an English rugby union footballer.

Cipriani plays fly-half, centre and fullback. He has played for London Wasps and England.

Cipriani is mixed-race, his father is from Trinidad & Tobago while his mother is English. He had a difficult childhood, raised by a single mother. His father and mother separated soon after his birth. To afford him a better life, his determined mother learned to drive a London Taxi, and was able to afford to send him to the Wimbledon College Prep school, “Donhead”, where he was spotted as a Rugby talent and was offered a scholarship.

A gifted footballer, Cipriani got his big break in January 2007 when he was picked at full back to face Worcester, his first Premiership start.

In 2012, Ciprian signed a new 3 year contract with “Sale Sharks.”

Away from rugby, Cipriani’s other sporting achievements include membership of the QPR Football Academy and playing cricket and squash at county level. He enjoys socializing with friends and listening to music, a particular fan of R&B and Hip Hop. He maintains his fitness through swimming and running as well as the training regime at the club and would also say he was a dab hand in the kitchen.
