Connor Barwin, born October 15, 1986, IN Southfield, Michigan, USA, is an American football linebacker for the Houston Texans of the National Football League.
Barwin attended the University of Detroit Jesuit High School. As a senior, he was an All-state selection and earned All-League, All-Catholic, and All-District honors.
Barwin played college football at the University of Cincinnati. As a freshman in 2005 Barwin played in all 11 games as a backup tight end finishing with eight receptions for 144 yards and one touchdown.
Barwin was drafted by the Houston Texans in the second round of the 2009 NFL Draft.
In 2011, Barwin established a career-best ten tackles and a new franchise record for sacks with four in the Texans’ 20–13 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Three things spinrg to mind looking at that:1. Hopefully Davis will have Cox open some of those lanes for him this year.2. If Barwin’s got the QB, who the hell is #94 tackling in that last picture?3. When checking out his 2012 sacks, it might be worth looking at the sacks of whoever the DT/DE on his side was too; maybe he was doing the inside moves and throwing off the OL, but the D-lineman he stunted around was the one to get the QB more often than not? In fact, if (as people are saying) he moved to the opposite side and was stunting around JJ, then that could be exactly what happened.
